If you'd like to start a running blog, or if you have one you'd like to list, e-mail Kerry to get started.
New! Melissa has set up a my space page for Macon Tracksters. Check it out!
Jay English lives in Sandersville and started running about a year and half ago, first to lose weight but now for the competition. He's a high school special education teacher at Washington County High School where he coaches football in the fall and golf in the spring. Look for him at the local races!
Doug "Running Masheen" Frawley - he lives in Bonaire, has completed 2 marathons, and is hoping to qualify for Boston. He wants to promote fitness and, like many good runners, is a former soccer player.
Sam Martinez - he's only been running for a year and a half, and is already a force on the racing scene. He's always willing to help others and share advice, and he'll be our new Macon Tracks vice-president besides. "Once again I was reminded that the best runs I have, the ones that I can recall months later, are the ones I had to talk myself into going on. " Run strong, friends!
Donna Segelken - she's only been running for a short time, but is already inspiring other newbies to reach for the stars. She's a very talented photographer as well, so be sure and view her artwork on the Macon Tracks Photo Gallery.
Amy Galeazzo - "I post on this blog to constantly remind myself that just because I wasn't born to do something, doesn't mean that I can't...Welcome to my running life!" Amy's great personality shines through on her blog. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Andrew Strickland - read the exploits of the Tighurt Running Club's sole member. Tighurt stands for "This Is Gonna hurt!" Andrew races almost every weekend and it's great fun to read about his travels.
Brian Mathews - he lost over 135 pounds and is going to run the Disney Marathon. Way to go, Brian!
Leora Juster - new to Macon, new to running, she's the assistant women's basketball coach at Mercer. "I imagine sitting around a couch having the same conversations I have with people when we're running, and I feel like if I were just sitting on a couch talking I would get so antsy and have all this anxiety....but I don't when I'm running! So I'll just tell anyone who wants to talk to me to wait till I'm running and they can drive beside me in a car or something." Luckily her running friends don't have to get in the car to enjoy her company!
Melissa Cowart - "Live to inspire and inspire to live." Melissa's goal is to run 50 races this year, and she's already well on her way. Besides being a runner, she's a Tae Kwon Do instructor, a businesswoman, and a great cook!
