This 9th annual race is sponsored by the Cantrell Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine and proceeds benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. There will be chip timing and the course is USATF certified. There are cash prizes for the top 3 overall and 1st master winners. It’s a Run and See Georgia Grand Prix race and also part of the Macon Tracks OrthoGeorgia Race Series. From the race organizers:
Never done a 5K before? No problem!! The heart of our run/walk event is for the first-timer. Our target audience is those who would never dream of participating in a 5K. Why? Because we want to see the Cantrell Center Run to Lose 5K & Fun Run used as starting point to beginning a healthier lifestyle. Already done a 5K? Great! Join us again this year. Nothing motivates first-timers more than seeing the example you set. Walk or Run, but GET MOVING, Middle Georgia!!
Betty Cantrell, Miss America 2016, will perform and recognize all women who protect and serve in our U. S. Military.
