As it stands right now, I plan on being at the track tomorrow night. Since Ashley made cheerleading and started tumbling on Tuesday nights to get those cheer flippy things she has to learn, Tuesday's are SUPER rushed! I have, however, made a command decision that Tuesday is officially leftover night now, so I can get Ashley from tumbling at 5 and still make it to the track!

Raquel... MIBM was GREAT! I won't do a whole race report, I'll let Donna do that.... But it was a blast as usual! My pace was WAY slower than usual because I stayed with my friends who were in from out of town to do it, but I had a blast.

See y'all at the track.
Becki

I did the race report :) Its under the MIBM section in Marathon Mania. :) I will be there tomorrow but I doubt I will do anything fast. May just take some easy laps around the track and take some photos of folks. Normally I soak in the tub that day and feel great but getting home at 1:15 am then thinking of sitting in the tub another 10 mins then dry off etc.. I opted to feel the burn and get some sleep in stead hehe. It was worth it! See you tomorrow

PS let me know if you cant find it. Its under NOTES on my profile page on FB too

Hello all!

Hydrate today!!!!!!

Everyone warm up at least 15 minutes (walk, jog, crawl...talking does not count as warming up though) :)

Group 1 (0-15 miles per week)
2 minute jog with 1 minute walking recovery
3 minute jog with 1 minute walking recovery
4 minute jog with 1 minute walking recovery
5 minute jog with 3 minute standing recovery
4 minute jog with 1 minute walking recovery
3 minute jog with 1 minute walking recovery
2 minute jog with 1 minute walking recovery

Group 2 (15+ miles per week)
4 x 400m (I) pace with 1 minute standing recovery
2 x 800m (I) pace with 2 minute standing recovery
1 x 1200m (I) pace with 3 minute standing recovery

Take 3-4 sips of water between each evolution! (an 'evolution' is one of the running segments)

Looks like fun!
Hopefully everything will pan out so that we get done with tumbling in time to make it! I told the people at tumbling that Tuesday nights were not good for me for class, but they refused to change it. The nerve of some people, right?

Well I dont know about you but the company was the best part of tonights workout :) My legs felt like mashed taters and that's hard to run with- mashed tater legs. My feet werent happy to be in socks and my running shoes yet either. I did some of the work out and Chuck, with a new person (Moreen) and they did better than me. I was still mush from all those hills but I wanted to come out and see folks and take some photos.

It was another hot day and it effected several folks. Some had to call it early and others just had to sloooow down. Good job because there is no sense in hurting yourself! Chuck- make sure you do that dreadmill while you are away on business next week. I want a full report! :)

Oh we saw Troy and his "Dent Tricks" ride along with one of his arrow sigh folks at the school (was election day). I will post the photos in the Macon Tracks FB page and on my FB page :)

Hey folks

This week will be a slightly easy week as the temp/HI is supposed to be crazy insane again today and tomorrow.

Group 1
3 x 200 (walk 200 for recovery)
3 x 400 (2 min standing recovery on each)
3 x 200 (walk 200 for recovery)

Group 2
3 x 200 (walk 200 for recovery)
5 x 3 min I pace (2 min standing recovery on each)
3 x 200 (walk 200 for recovery)

HYDRATE!!!! Start hydrating today for tomorrow evening's run.

I need a volunteer to lead next week's group as I will be out of town on biz. Anyone?

I wont be there next week, I have my orchid meeting (once a month) and its at a master gardeners place. If I knew someone could video it I would come. :) I may be there tomorrow. I probably can stand doing that work out in the pm. I know Chuck is out of town this week.

Folks
Toughing it out is one thing...being foolish is another. I'm cancelling our practice for tonight. If you choose to do the workout please wait until later in the evening and take it easy. Please please please be careful.

I care about all of you guys/gals...it is not worth having someone become a medical emergency for the sake of a track workout. Please pass this along to everyone.

Tommy

I didnt get the memo it was canceled nor did Robert. Crystal got a text but she came out there and kept me company. She did her work out and I did the Group 1 stuff amended: 3 x 200, 2 x 400, 3 x 200 and took it at an easy pace. It really wasn't as bad as last week I dont think, we even had a breeze.

Crystal and I were there and then Robert showed up. So we had a small group of folks but we made it! ::flexes her fluff:: Chuck- I know you read this and you best not be lazy and do nothing. Just because you are away on business doesnt mean you cant work the elliptical at the gym or something so get busy! :)

Thanks for the update Donna.

I need to find a way to notify folks of changes/cancellations for our workouts. Right now this is the only common location that I know to do that.

I hope that everyone heeded my advice and either stayed inside or went to the gym. Around 7:45pm I went out to mow the yard and it was still suffocating. The water temp in our new pool was 94 degrees!

Please hydrate!

T

Welcome and we were all good girls and boys. We had a breeze and we didnt strain ourselves, just took it nice and easy and paused in between sets. :) You'd have been proud of us three hehe. Today Im thinking the base pool for a couple hours! Havent gone in forever. Get a little Vita D and relax by the pool then head back into the AC. Be safe all! Thurs and Sat they say we could see 100 degree high (not incl h.i) here in WR.

Are you going to have the track workout this week or skip it due to the humidity?
