DESCRIPTION:The Veterans Day 5K is one of three events over Veterans Day we
 ekend to honor\, raise awareness\, and financially benefit veterans in Mac
 on-Bibb and Middle Georgia. The second event is the fourth annual Veterans
  Day Parade on Sunday\, November 10\, 2024\, in Downtown Macon. The thir
 d event is the second annual Veterans Day Golf Tournament at River North 
 Country Club on Monday\, November 11\, 2024.\n\nA portion of funds raised 
 over the weekend will support the Georgia Department of Veterans Service F
 oundation\, an organization dedicated to helping Middle-Georgia veterans s
 tay in their homes by assisting with utilities\, mortgage or rent\, and ho
 me repairs.
