Transportation
Buses will provide transportation back to the 5K and 10K starting lines after the race. The buses will be on Levee Road, across the park from the finish line toward the river (see map). There will be no transportation to the race start before the race. If you would like for family or friends to drop you off at the start and then meet you at the park, they can use an alternate driving route to avoid traveling on race-course roads.
Fluid Stations
There will be four fluid stations for the 10K, with two also serving the 5K. The first is at the 10K two-mile mark, followed by one at the 5K start (3.1). The third will be near Sid’s Sandwich Shop, just over the I-75 overpass (mile 4.3 of the 10K, mile 1.1 of the 5K), with the last occurring at the corner of Second and Walnut Streets (mile 5.7 of the 10K, mile 2.6 of the 5K). Fluids will also be available at both starting lines and at the finish line area.
Please Note
There will be no bikes, pets, or skates allowed on the racecourse. We request that participants pushing baby joggers or strollers please start at the back and use extreme caution so as to avoid injury to small passengers and to your fellow athletes. Walkers are welcome. We ask that, if you cannot complete the 10K in under 90 minutes, please participate in the 5K so that our volunteers can sweep the course before the roads are reopened. No refunds or transfers are allowed.

Course Description
The courses overlap. The 10-K race begins ½ mile east of Wesleyan College in front of RunFit Sports, following Forsyth Road as it turns into Vineville Avenue. At the 3.1-mile mark, the 5-K begins, close to the intersections of Vineville, Pio Nono, and Pierce Avenues, in front of the Vineville Baptist Church. Both races proceed across I-75, where the road changes names to Forsyth Street, then Cotton Avenue. This road will turn sharply right and left as you pass City Hall, continuing to Second Street where you will turn left. You turn right onto Walnut Street, left onto Seventh Street, and right into Carolyn Crayton Park (Central City Park). Major hills are located at the ½-mile mark of the 10-K and the 4.5-mile mark of the 10-K (1.2-mile mark of the 5-K). Otherwise, the course is relatively flat or downhill except for a few small inclines. The USATF certification numbers are GA23049WC for the 10K course and GA23048WC for the 5K.
