First Baptist Church on New Street and First Baptist Church of Christ share a 200-year history that dates back to 1826. In 2026 we are celebrating our bicentennial and have planned many joint events with the hope of bettering and bringing our community together. One of those events, our “Let’s Move! Macon” 5K Race, is part of the Let’s Move! initiative that looks to address the problem of obesity and get children (and communities) on the path to a healthy future.
